ABOUT US

Welcome to Aasiwun!

Our creative and simple world, where we strive to get simple yet elegant products for you! Aasiwun in Sanskrit means ‘Let us come together and craft’.

Handloom weaves and varied forms of art and culture have always had a special place in our hearts. The childhood memories of seeing mom and aunts in crisp cotton and elegant silks stayed forever. So much so that amid the IT career journey, there had consistently been a desire to explore this creative inclination. This finally led to the inception of Aasiwun in late 2019, with our first-ever designer kitchen aprons and table linens. However, the pandemic struck followed by lockdown along with several other issues, and times became difficult. We sailed through the tough times and eventually, started showcasing our products by participating in exhibitions. Slowly things turned around and here we are.

Here at Aasiwun, we represent the emerging hand-woven weaves and traditional arts of Bharat to our buyers worldwide. Weavers and artisans from various parts of our country create such beautiful designs using their ancestral weaving processes. We work with weavers and artisans to create elegant hand-crafted/ hand-woven silk and cotton sarees and hand-made fabrics. Aasiwun is proud of our artisans who work diligently day and night to keep the legacy of this traditional art alive. Dive into this enchanting treasure brought to you by the skilled hands of master artisans!

At Aasiwun, we have our in-house studio where we create designer blouses, stylish jackets, dresses, and skirts for every age group. For your beautiful home spaces, we also make exclusive tablecloths, runners, cushion covers, and kitchen aprons.

It is a traditional textile art that involves the application of wax onto fabric before dyeing. This technique has been practiced for centuries using handloom methods. Batik Silk Sarees are characterized by their exquisite designs and its vibrant colors and intricate designs, often depicting scenes from nature or traditional Indian motifs which are created by applying the batik technique to a silk fabric woven on a handloom.

Shibori saree is a hand-dyed saree manufactured using a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing process. Before dyeing, elaborate designs are created on the cloth by binding, sewing, folding, twisting, and compressing it. These sarees are versatile and can be worn on both formal and casual occasions.
